A FREEEEZING Frank and Me!

This time last year, when it was a little warmer, Frank, Doug, Tom and Me took ourselves off to the Absolut Icebar in London’s Mayfair. 

When you get there you are given an electric blue coat/cloak, with massive warm gloves… you might think that these are a bit unnecessary, but once you walk through the curtain into the freezing cold bar(minus 5 degrees) you’ll be glad to have them on! Bright green drinks are handed to you in cups that are actually made of ICE which you sip on while you try not to think about the cold that is seeping through your bones. Typically the boy’s tried licking the walls to test if they would get stuck to them - luckily for them they didn’t! 

Each session in the bar is 40minutes long, this might seem short but once you’re in there you’ll understand why it isn’t longer. We managed 35minutes out of those 40…which I think is quite an accomplishment. We were doing very well, but once we lost the feeling in our red little noses, our fingers and toes we realised it was time to get back into the summer air!

The Ice Bar is a one off experience, and worth doing for something a little bit different to share with your friends!
